Leslie Jones returns to Twitter. Yay!
Leslie Jones returned to Twitter on Saturday, a little over a week after a racist hate-mob hacked into her phone and leaked her private information.
She only briefly addressed the controversy, writing “I ALWAYS GET BACK UP.”

Jones stopped tweeting on Aug. 23rd after her personal information was hacked, including nude photos. It was the latest horrible incident in a summer filled with racist, misogynistic attacks against the 48-year-old who had a star turn in Ghostbusters.
In July, Jones was forced off Twitter when a racist, misogynist hate-mob tweeted at her constantly. Breitbart News editor and Internet troll Milo Yiannopoulos began the campaign against her in a review of Ghostbusters, criticizing her character’s “flat-as-a-pancake black stylings.” (For those who like justice, Yiannopoulos was permanently banned from Twitter after this.) Jones retweeted some of the most horrible comments thrown at her.
But happy days are here again: Jones first tweet back showed a clip from Golden Girls, and she could be heard in the background saying “I don’t care what nobody say, these bitches make me laugh no matter what the hell is going on”
She posted a number of jokes, as well as crowd-sourcing for her upcoming birthday.
Jones returns for Saturday Night Live’s 42nd season on October 1. Luckily we can enjoy her on Twitter until then.
