Monica Lewinsky, whose affair with President Bill Clinton in the 1990s left an indelible stain on his presidency, joined Twitter on Monday.

Here’s her first tweet:

This is not important news. But people in Washington, D.C., took notice.

Even though Twitter was abuzz with Lewinsky’s presence, no one could quite figure out why.
