Sarah Huckabee Sanders Can't Answer Reporter's Question So She Insults Her Instead
White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders found herself on Thursday defending Donald Trump’s contradictory early-morning tweets regarding a House vote on the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act. It did not go very well.
On Thursday morning, Trump tweeted the following:
Unfortunately, it turns out that passing the FISA act—which enshrines one of the government’s most notorious privacy-demolishing spy programs into law—is actually something the administration likes. And so, several hours later, the president appended his initial statement with a diametrically opposed follow up:
FISA is bad because it personally hurt me! But actually it’s very good because “foreign bad guys!”
