Everything we want to see in 'Zoolander 2'
In really really ridiculously good-looking news, the follow up to the male fashion model comedy Zoolander will begin shooting in Rome for 12 weeks this spring. Roman Mayor Ignazio Marino announced the movie’s upcoming production in a Facebook post featuring pictures of Ben Stiller. The sequel to the commercial flop/endlessly-quotable meme already has stars Stiller, Owen Wilson, Penelope Cruz, and Will Ferrell committed.
Due in theaters in 2016, Stiller claims the script picks up with Derek (Stiller) and Hansel (Wilson) 10 years later in a world where they are less relevant. While there’s still no word on the center for ants, here’s what we want to see in the sequel:
We demand fashion-y guest stars. In Zoolander, we saw a metric crap-ton of fashion superstars and celebrities playing themselves. Tom Ford, Donald Trump, Cuba Gooding Jr., Christian Slater, Heidi Klum, David Bowie, Lenny Kravitz, Paris Hilton, etc., etc., all made hilarious cameos that called back to early aughts pop culture. In 2016 we want Anna Dello Russo, Kendall Jenner, Tom Ford again, John Galliano, Kanye West, Susie Bubble, Chrissy Teigen, Anna Wintour, Grace Coddington, and Cara Delevigne, just to name a few. Make it a reality!
