Games of Thrones heroines go high fashion for Dazed & Confused and UK Vogue covers

The pint-sized Games of Thrones heroines clobber foes on the small screen, and now actresses Maisie Williams and Emilia Clarke are dominating the May covers of fashion tomes Vogue UK and Dazed & Confused.

Like the punked-out noble she plays, Williams sat regally and poised for photographer Ben Toms in a high-neck and colorfully patterned smock, a bumble bee perched upon her face just so. The fearless Arya Stark would never be scared of a little bee sting.

In another image, while Williams is wrapped up into a glorified burlap sack — a far cry from the armor-like duds she dons on GoT — the actress shows plenty of that steely determination we’ve seen her throw into her onscreen character. Never one to be second-guessed in real life either, Williams boldly told the magazine:

“People think we’re f—king stupid and we don’t know anything about anything. It’s really degrading. I get a lot of adults who are like, ‘You don’t know sh-t,’ and it’s like, ‘You don’t know sh-t. You have no idea what it’s like to be 17 years old.'”

Speaking of “steely determination”: Peeking out from Emilia Clarke’s carefully rumpled flaxen tresses is that intense gaze the actress exacts on all her victims as her GoT alter ego, Daenerys Targaryen. Here, she’s a modern incarnation, styled in a pastel hued gown straight from the Spring 2015 Christian Dior couture runway. Unlike “Dany,” though, she’s less mechanical when it comes to her career, telling Vogue UK, “I told myself, forget the big game plan; all I want is to do jobs that make me happy.”

What would Dany say about that plan of attack?
