'Obamacare for the Internet'? Really?
Ted Cruz didn’t waste any time criticizing President Obama’s position in favor of Net Neutrality, dubbing it “Obamacare for the Internet”:
Likewise, the Internet didn’t waste any time criticizing Sen. Cruz’s criticism. The term “Obamacare for the Internet” quickly became a trending topic on Twitter today, joining the ranks of absurdist comedy video “Too Many Cooks,” and the Brittany Murphy.
That Cruz would liken the president’s position on Net Neutrality to Obamacare was sadly predictable, considering it’s all the Texas lawmaker has been talking about for years. Unfortunately for Cruz, his attempt to coin a new use for the term wasn’t well received. In fact, it was straight up ridiculed.
