Photos: The most amazing Selena street art from around the country
Today marks the 21st anniversary of the untimely assassination of Selena Quintanilla, better known, of course, by just her first name. A Latin crossover star before the great crossover wave of the late 1990s, Selena was like J. Lo before J. Lo.
She’s left such a footprint on the American Latino cultural landscape that there are, to this day, professors who legitimately study her. But she’s left a mark on the physical landscape, too – a couple decades after she left too soon, murals dedicated to her legend still dot the country.
