Protesters stage 'die-in' at NYC Apple store over Eric Garner decision

New York City protesters amassed at an Apple store on Friday to voice outrage over the police killing of Eric Garner.

On Wednesday, a grand jury announced it would not indict police officer Daniel Pantaleo in Garner’s death, and massive protests have broken out on Wednesday and Thursday nights in anger over the decision. Another march was scheduled for Friday evening in Columbus Circle, calling on participants to shut down businesses in the area:

Within the hour, that call appears to have been heeded, according to Twitter users:

A livestream shows marchers chanting “We say fight back!” and “Whose streets? Our streets” as police tell them to remain on the sidewalk. The stream also shows the protesters shouting “How do you spell racist? NYPD.”

This is the third night of protests in New York City. On Thursday night, thousands protested in Brooklyn and Manhattan, shutting down bridges and delaying rush hour traffic. Over 200 were reportedly arrested, and many were pepper sprayed by police.
