This Japanese Tire Commercial Will Give You Nightmares

In Internet culture, Japan has earned itself a reputation for being weird. This characterization isn’t far off when you consider the fact that the Island nation is the birthplace of cat cafes and tentacle porn (don’t ask, just Google…if you’re so inclined). Now, we can add “seriously disturbing ad campaigns” to that list.


The nightmare inducing video above is a commercial for tire manufacturer Autoway. Just what exactly does a supernatural Ringu-like creature have to do with tire safety? Who cares?! All that matters is that it’s a great way to terrify the crap out of your coworkers. Right, Dan?
