9 slogans for the new Hugo Chávez cologne
Former Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez, one of the sweetest smelling revolutionaries of the 21st century, now has a cologne named after him, thanks to the dedicated efforts of a Cuban state-run company.
Fusion, ever helpful, was eager to help the creators of “Hugo” to successfully market their new fragrance in the capitalist world beyond Cuba’s island shores. How about this sales slogan?
According to the AP, which covered this week’s launch of the Hugo cologne in Havana, the perfume is “soft and fruity with hints of mango and papaya,” an ideal accessory for the “discerning supporter of international socialism who wants something more than just a Che T-shirt.”
Che Guevara got his own fragrance too, called “Ernesto.” Watch out for its “woodsy and refreshing citric scent with notes of talcum powder,” the AP reports.
Labiofam, the company that created these unlikely fragrances, told the AP that they expect their new products to be “very attractive colognes.”
