The superhero flicks we love to watch at the movies have arrived on TV.
What makes this show different from most Marvel movies is that the protagonist, Agent Phil Colson, is a S.H.I.E.L.D. secret agent. (S.H.I.E.L.D., in the Marvel universe, is a law-enforcement agency, rather than a band of superheroes.)
Colson does not have bulging muscles, tight colorful costumes, or raging anger issues that transform him to a ferocious green giant. He’s a middle-aged man in a suit.
He’s a (relatively) every-day nice guy who leads a team of British brainacs, hackers, and good-looking super agents around the world in a high-tech, jet-black cargo plane.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is full of cool gadgets, too, and every Tuesday night you can expect a new freaky, out of this world crisis that puts the world in jeopardy.
Parent can enjoy this show as much as their kids, because, well, the main character looks a lot like them.
And remember, next time you feel lame in those work slacks, just think, you actually look like a kick-ass agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.
