Nine Inch Nails Facetimes Fan With Cancer During Concert
This past weekend, at a Las Vegas concert, Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor decided to Facetime a new friend: Andrew Youssef. Youssef is a professional concert photographer who was diagnosed with Stage IV colon cancer two years ago.
In the video, provided by a front-row attendee, Reznor dials Youssef and asks the crowd, “Can you say hi to Andrew?” upon which the crowd screams. Reznor then says, “I wish you were here” and the crowd chants “Andrew, Andrew, Andrew” in a way that kind of makes you FEEL ALL THE FEELS.

In October the OC Weekly reported that Youssef was given only a few weeks to live (by the way, I dare you to read the feature and not weep). Since then, Youssef has found strength pursuing a bucket list of concerts to photograph and seeing some of his favorite musical acts, one of which is Nine Inch Nails.
After seeing the band at the Troubador in West Hollywood on Sept. 3, Youssef wrote: “I can’t thank Trent Reznor and Nine Inch Nails enough for a show that I will never forget. My new goal now is to hold on now until November 8th when they return with a full production show at the Staples Center.”
My God, ALL. THE. EMOTIONS.
