One-Legged Soccer Player Nico Calabria Will Inspire You

Nico Calabria was born with one leg. Despite his disability, the now 19-year-old grew up playing a soccer, a sport that would be seemingly impossible to play without said limb. That didn’t stop Calabria from making the varsity soccer team at Concord-Carlisle High School in Massachusetts. It’s because of this triumph over such adversity that he’s the subject of a 2-minute video posted on YouTube by Powerade last week.

The emotional and inspirational video is part of “Power Through,” a new campaign by Coca-Cola-owned Powerade. Yes, it’s an advertisement intended on selling you a sugary sports drink, but it is genuinely inspiring.
