Zimmerman Says He’s ‘Absolutely’ a Victim
George Zimmerman thinks he was “absolutely” a victim and that he never should have been prosecuted for killing Trayvon Martin.
“I feel the people in power, like Gov. Scott, cowered to political pressure and shredded the Constitution,” Zimmerman told Fusion’s Derrick Ashong. “And spit in the face of all our fallen soldiers, and went through with a malicious prosecution, simply for political pressure.”
In the interview, Zimmerman said that even though local authorities had determined that he killed Martin in self-defense, Scott had reached out to Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi to find a find a state prosecutor — Angela Corey — who would file charges and pursue the case.
Zimmerman said he has never spoken with the Martin family and had no plans to do so.
